HERE’S MY STORY…

Back in 2016, after graduating from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, I got the “dream job.” Working in corporate America, traveling to New York City and Los Angeles, and having fancy dinners with vendors was my benchmark for success. Although I grew up as an athlete, I was never taught to weight train, nor did I ever see personal training and coaching as a career path. 

Life, as we all know, comes with its challenges. As time passed, I learned that my “dream job” wasn’t so dreamy after all, and I was looking for ways to improve my mental health. I decided to connect with a personal trainer in the Milwaukee area and started working out with the intention to feel like a better, more confident version of myself. The gym quickly became my sanctuary. In between emails and after-hours, I found myself reading research papers and studying the science behind weight training. I never thought I’d thank COVID-19 for anything, but a round a layoffs took me out of my corporate position and forced me to pursue my passion. I got certifications, continued learning, and worked at Life Time Fitness to get my feet on the ground. MPOWERD Fitness was born a year later in an effort to make training a more inclusive, personal, and customized experience for clients both on and offline. 

The foundation of MPOWERED was built with inclusivity in mind. With an adaptable coaching style designed to give you consistent, positive feedback, I’m here to meet you wherever you are in your fitness journey. Whether it’s your first time at the gym, or you’re a collegiate athlete, I pull from my extensive research and knowledge to give you the roadmap toward your goals. Inclusivity also means that all races, genders, ages, and sizes are welcome. I’m here to make the gym a safe space for you, whoever you are.
